From the conception of Veterinary Wellness Center of Boerum Hill, we made it a point to design the veterinary clinic to be as eco-friendly as possible. All internal lights are dimmable LED fixtures, our washer and dryer are high-efficiency models, and we use eco-friendly cleaning supplies whenever it will not compromise the safety of our patients or staff. We minimize the use of paper towels and when they need to be used, we only use recycled materials. When not using paper towels for cleaning, we will use reusable, washable cleaning cloths. We also use high-efficiency heating and cooling systems in a well-insulated building to minimize excess energy use. We use as much post-consumer recycled materials as possible, including but not limited to our clipboards and printer paper. And of course, we also recycle!
While in a hospital setting it is nearly impossible to be 100% eco-friendly, we at Veterinary Wellness Center of Boerum Hill in Brooklyn, NY, will do everything we can to act in an eco-conscious sustainable manner to benefit our patients, our clients, and our community.
