Dr. Michael Arpino is a graduate of the January 2010 Class of St. George's University. Dr. Arpino was born on Long Island, NY and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He attended grammar and high school at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, NY He was accepted to Wagner College where he majored in Biology and Chemistry. Dr. Arpino also completed two years of college at University of Arizona where he majored in Animal Science. After taking two years off of schooling he attended veterinary school at St. George's University on the island of Grenada which was followed by one year of clinical training at Auburn University in Alabama. Dr. Arpino also completed an intensive wildlife immobilization course in South Africa. Dr. Arpino is Medical Director of Animal Health Group on the Boulevard and Animal Health Group on Castleton Ave in Staten Island. Dr. Arpino is also medical director of Veterinary Wellness Center of Boerum Hill. Prior to working as a Veterinarian in Staten Island, Dr. Arpino worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Riverdale Veterinary Group in the Bronx. Dr. Arpino enjoys traveling the world, going to church, hiking, golf, spending time with family and good friends. Most of All Dr. Arpino is a very proud daddy to his little princess Olivia Autumn. On their days off together they go to the Zoo, aquarium, museums and walks in the park.
Dr. Ford is originally from New Orleans and received her Bachelors of Science from the University Of Georgia. After graduation Dr. Ford went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed her clinical training at Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her degree Dr. Ford moved to NYC and began working as a small animal veterinarian. Her professional interest include soft tissue surgery and animal rescue. Born and raised in the South, Amy enjoys an active lifestyle, spending time at the beach, scuba diving, and traveling. She also enjoys spending quality time with her Certified Therapy dogs Casper and Romeo.
Dr. Sether was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She attended Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania and majored in Biology. After graduating college, her dreams of studying abroad were made into a reality when she was accepted to veterinary school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies. Her clinical training was completed at Auburn University in Alabama. While in veterinary school, she had the opportunity to participate in an intensive spay and neuter volunteer trip in Guatemala, Central America. Dr. Sether is currently certified to perform Stem Cell Therapy for certain ailments on your furry pets. Make an appointment to ask about this new service! In her spare time, Dr. Sether enjoys cooking, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog Luna!
Dr. Sofia Miele was born and raised in New Jersey. After completing her undergraduate studies in Animal Science, Dr. Miele continued her education at the University of Missouri, graduating from Veterinary School in 2015. After completing her studies, Dr. Miele moved back home to New Jersey and completed a one year small animal rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls. While not at work, you can find Dr. Miele cooking, playing soccer, watching the Yankees and relaxing with her three cats, gerbil, and pug, Ducky.
Dr. Mary Martin attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwards she attended St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2011. Dr. Martin has a strong interest in small animal medicine. She currently resides in Staten Island, New York with her husband Dr. Arpino, their daughter Olivia and their two dogs, Skooter and Edgar.
